Today’s Fundraising

Volunteers for Blantyre Community Committee today raised a fantastic £261 at Blantyre ASDA for the forthcoming festive event!

Bagpacking to raise money for the forthcoming community event were committee members Barry Watt, Lewis Watt and Paul Veverka who gave up their time between 10am and 4pm. In the afternoon, they were kindly joined and supported by Cllr Maureen Chalmers.

Fundraising is extremely important to our non profit organisation. In order to ensure our public events are free for all attending, we rely wholly on being able to raise enough annual funds in order to host the festive event and summer gala, which combined currently costs an annual five figure sum.

Thank you to everybody today who put their change into the donation buckets. With thanks also to Mary Sutherland and the staff at ASDA for arranging the opportunity.

If YOU have ideas how we can raise further funds, please do get in touch.
